This post is a bittersweet one; it's the final John Likes Beer entry that will be written in my current apartment. Hell, it'll be the last John Likes Beer entry from the City of Cincinnati. Michelle and I are sprinting toward the closing date on our house. Next time you come around these parts, you'll have a whole new venue to be seen through the few pictures that accompany each post. (Please note that I'm taking a break from packing all of my miscellanea to type this up. That's how close we are to vacating our current living situation.)


What's the beer with which I'm opting to close out this chapter of John Likes Beer? Easy. 21st Amendment's Tales from the Kettle 2017. Truth be told, I'd meant to make this post last month when the beer was still pretty widely available. But, better late than never, right? And, according to this online beer locator, there are still cans of it to be had out in the wild!

Well, here we are. It's the official start of the Christmas shopping season. It's exactly one month out from Christmas. You know all of this because I'm about to crack into my first Christmas beer post of the season. Hold onto your seats, boys and girls. We're about to get festive.


Before we go any further, let me say this: I've had this beer before. Quite a few time before, in fact. But this is the only post of the season that isn't about a new-to-me beer. That means that for the next five posts you read here (if you read all of them) will be completely new experiences for me. That's fun stuff.

Now, without any more ado, 21st Amendment's Fireside Chat.

Hey there, everyone! If you follow my Instagram, you'll know that I recently stocked up on wide array of brews to drink while Michelle and I were away on vacation. Well, we were gone for the better part of last week and I managed to drink every single beer I brought into the cabin with me (and a growler from Devil's Kettle). In total, I consumed twelve (!) brews I have not discussed previously on the blog. I want to take a brief moment to rectify that now.


As you'll note, I said brief above. And that's what this post'll be. Brief. Purrl won't be in it. I won't go into details about the breweries. There'll be no memory sharing. I'll post a picture of each beer, a link to the brewery that crafted it, and the thoughts I recorded while drinking it, all in the order they were consumed. Short and sweet.
